Coronavirus Policies


Cancellation: if a booking is cancelled due to Government regulations prohibiting travel or staying at our accommodation then we will refund any deposit paid and nothing will be due in respect of the outstanding reservation price.

The policies set out below were introduced to address the risks posed by Covid-19 and for which we were given the “We’re Good to Go” Industry Standard certificate and the AA Covid Confident accreditation.

Prior to your arrival, we will send you an email advising you in more detail of the steps that we take and what steps we will be asking you to take to ensure your safety as well as the safety of others, including ourselves.

Cleaning: All bedrooms and guest areas are extensively cleaned in accordance with government and industry guidelines between guests’ stays and while guests are staying.

Check-in: check in is between 5.00 pm and 10.00pm. We may not be able to allow check-in before 5.00 pm as we must ensure all rooms and public areas are thoroughly cleansed.

Hand sanitiser: is available in each Bedroom and outside the Bedrooms, as well as in the entrance hall of the B&B.

Eating arrangements: there is a separate table allocated for each bedroom – one table is on its own in the Snug and the other 2 tables are in the Dining Room spaced over 2 metres apart.

Breakfast: we offer the same breakfast options, but the buffet section of our breakfast offering has been removed – instead we will bring your choices to your table. This may mean we have to ask you to come down for breakfast at a specific time so as to stagger the timing of breakfasts.

Payments: where possible, we will take payment on or before arrival – to reduce handling of the card machine.

Welcoming: we will continue to welcome you personally but respecting social distancing and mask wearing requirements.

Stay Safe: We ask all guests to respect social distancing requirements, to wear a face mask at all times when in communal areas (other than when sitting down at their table to eat) and to sanitise their hands when in the building.

Housekeeping: Only if you are staying more than 3 days will we be offering to change your bedding or towels, or to hoover and dust your bedroom during your stay.

In all cases, if you are staying more than 1 night, we will  empty bins and provide fresh cups and glasses, along with some fresh water and milk for your room.
